I was close to turning back because Satan tried to lead my soul astray
So close to turning back but God's voice made me walk the right way

As my mind recalled the thoughts of my past life
I could see the awful  things that I had done
But by God's power and loving grace my sin's were pardoned
He bought them all on Calvary's cross (God's Only Son)

The Lord has blessed me so I can't repay Him
That's why I live my life for Him and sing His praise
And thank Him so for being there because I need Him
I'll live with Him in paradise some happy day

I was seeing life so clear since my faith has brought me near
To the cross where Christ had bled and died for me
And it was hard for one to show how God's only Son would go
When He could have called ten thousand angels to set Him free
